My mother passed away on March 16, 2021. Leaving behind her husband of 41 years, and her three adult children. She was a good mom, who was always joking around, a young person at heart and mind, and she was a loving and caring wife who wanted the best for her husband and family. She loved the Lord her God and helped bring her family and her sister to know Christ’s love.
She didn't leave a living will, or a probate for her after death care. She didn't take the time to do this step in her life.
Unfortunately, she was always in pain starting at an early age, and was consistently in and out of the hospital and doctor offices, trying to
find the right Doctor who would be able to truly understand her pain and its cause and location. But that didn't happen. Because of the
constant pain, she wasn't able to life she wanted, she had an adventurous spirit.
The last few years, her health began to deteriorate immensely. Her husband Dennis took good care of her, right to the very last breath she gave. Her last words to him was, “You have been a great husband to me, and I love you so much! I am just going to take a rest.” She passed away in her sleep, in bed, in her apartment while laying next to my dad. He was by himself when this happened. His children live in
Pennsylvania and Northern California. I traveled this last weekend to go and be with my dad, and try to help get the process of taking care of Mom's Body and paperwork in order, along with the cleanup of their apartment. My parents didn't have any savings, assets, or anything of value to trade in for money. So this is why I am here to ask for monetary help. My dad is extremely heartbroken and is having a hard time
trying to pick up the pieces that mom left behind. Pieces such as:
*Any costs to cremation and memorial for my mother (if the sciencecare.com can't use my mom's body for donation for research concept): $2,000
*Unpaid Medical Bills that medical didn't cover: (I found two bills so far) $6,648 and $8,790
*Current Bills that are unpaid: $ 150.00 for SDGE (electricity), Rent @ the Apartment: $1,300 and Gas for Dad's Ford Expedition: $150.00
(He is working, and plans to return to work 3/24/2021, but it is not going to be enough to cover these costs) (I plan to move him into my
house by May 2021)
*Moving Expenses to relocate my Dad to live with me: Gas to drive to vehicles: $ 300.00 driving ten hours from Oceanside to Magalia CA
*Administrative Fees: $500.00 (notaries, county and state fees, legal fees for documents to be released)
I know what I have listed as expenses is well over the goal for this fundraiser, as I am just being honest of what Dad and I are working with. He and my Mom had way too much stuff and it took over the apartment they lived in. When I visited after mom's death, My daughter's and I did our best to purge some of the things in the apartment, to make it more livable for my dad.
In regards to the above finances, I have looked and will continue to look into SSI and other state benefits that can help remedy the unpaid medical bills, but I keep hitting roadblocks on those matters. My Mom haven't worked since her early twenties.
I pray that the Science Care Facility is able to use mom's body for research purposes and after five or six weeks, her family will receive the
remains already cremated and ready to do a memorial at the beach. What is stopping this from happening, is the primary doctor won't sign the death certificate. I don't know why.
****Any help my dad and I receive will be utilized in the matters above. I am an extremely responsible and have taken the Advocate Role for my father since my Mother's passing.
