Excess Medical Bills & Care for Katelyn Rogers
Donation protected
On the evening of Saturday, May 11th, Katelyn Rogers, a 4th-grade student at The Cor Deo School in Tacoma, was struck by a speeding vehicle while crossing the street on her scooter. The driver left the scene of the accident without stopping.
Katelyn was taken by ambulance to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and is being treated for broken bones throughout her body including her pelvis, femur, and shoulder. This morning she underwent surgery and there are likely more such procedures to follow.
Not only will her medical needs continue well beyond her hospital say, but Katelyn will need significant care and supervision as she journeys through the rehabilitation process.
Until we know more, we're estimating the family's need, in terms of medical bills in excess of their insurance coverage and care for Katelyn as she recovers, at $15,000.
Every donation matters, from $1 to $1,000 and beyond. No gift is too big or small.
Please consider making a donation and join the greater Cor Deo community as well as the greater First Presbyterian Church Tacoma community in showing love and care for Katelyn and the entire Rogers family.
