Hope Haven Homeless Shelter Support
Donation protected
Hello everyone! We are Omega Delta, an organization located in DeKalb, IL.
We are a diverse group of individuals, dedicated to improving our leadership skills and raising the bar on serving the local community.
Our plan is to raise money for a local homeless shelter by the name of Hope Haven. The shelter has been around since 1986 and is dedicated to serving homeless individuals and families. Last year, Hope Haven provided 33,183 nights of shelter, served 61,385 meals and had a nightly average of 89 at the Rushmoore Drive site and 26 at Dresser Court.
The company’s mission is to provide shelter, meals and life skills programs for homeless families while preparing them for re-housing. Hope Haven advocates for the rights of the homeless, and those at risk for becoming homeless, while working in collaboration with others to end homelessness in DeKalb County.
Their goals are to help the transition the homeless from shelter to permanent housing, reduce the number of days the homeless spend in the shelter, reduce the recidivism of homelessness, increase income and employment for homeless clients, and help the homeless access eligible mainstream resources.
Money donated in this crowd funding account will be used for supplies that the company needs. They are in dire need of cleaning supplies as of now, and also need items including napkins, toilet paper/paper towels, trash bags, sponges, serving gloves, foil and office supplies. We are currently searching for a good wholesale website where we can buy a majority of these items in bulk. All donations will be given to the people of Hope Haven.
Any donations or contributions will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions regarding our plans, feel free to ask at any time.
Anne Frank once said, "No one has ever become poor by giving." Our goal is to collaborate as a team and give back to those in need.
