Hola soy Axel, el dueño de Kicked Up Miami y les escribo con gran pesar. Mi madre, mi mejor amiga y la mujer más fuerte que conozco, ha estado luchando contra un cáncer de mama metastásico en etapa 4 que se ha extendido a sus huesos, recurrent en un examen rutinario encontraron actividad de cancer nuevamente. Los médicos nos han dicho que es incurable, pero no intratable. Con tratamiento, podemos darle más tiempo, más momentos y más recuerdos. Me niego a perder la esperanza.

Mi madre siempre ha sido la luz en la vida de nuestra familia. Es luchadora, una guerrera , desinteresada y su prioridad siempre ha sido poner a los demás antes que a sí misma. ¡Ella es la razón de ser de Kicked Up! Me ayudó a hacer realidad mis sueños. Sin su ayuda, Kicked Up no estaría donde está ahora.

Yo habia estado ahorrando cada dólar que podía para ayudar a cubrir sus gastos médicos, pero recientemente mi negocio (Kicked Up) fue asaltado. Hello everyone, my name is Axel. I am the owner of Kicked Up Miami, and I am reaching out with the heaviest heart. My mother, my best friend, and the strongest woman I know, has been battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that has spread to her bones. The doctors have told us it is incurable, but not untreatable. With treatment, we can give her more time, more moments, and more memories. I refuse to give up hope.

My mother has always been the light in our family’s life. She is kind, selfless, and has always put others before herself. She is the reason Kicked Up exists! She helped me make my dreams come true. Without her help, Kicked Up would not be where it is now. I had been saving every dollar I could to help cover her medical costs, but recently my business (Kicked Up) was broken into and burglarized. At 4:26 am on the morning of Sunday the 13th, I was abruptly woken up to my alarm going off, notifying me that the store was being broken into. I checked my cameras and witnessed the robbery in real time. Five men, hooded up, wearing masks and gloves, breaking in and were able to take around $50k worth of my merchandise and my cash box where I had my savings for my mother's treatments and medications. The police and I arrived too late. I was destroyed, helpless everything we had saved for her treatments and medical care was stolen from me and, more importantly, from her. In a moment, all the security I had been building to support her was ripped away. Now, instead of focusing on her healing, I am scrambling to pick up the pieces while time continues slipping by. We all know how expensive cancer treatments can be and are very rarely paid entirely by insurances.

This is why I am humbly asking for help. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward my mother’s medical treatments, medications, and supportive care while I can get back on my feet.
