Erik Thureson's Hip replacement

My name is Jonas, and I'm husband to Lindsay and father of three.  We are helping raise the deductible for our family friends hip surgery.  His name is Erik Thureson, and we've been friends for 10yrs.  He's a 48-year young father of Jacob(16), Emma(14), Sydney(10), and husband to Judy.  In addition to being a family man and working his day job, he is serving a non-paid leadership role in our church music ministry.  Erik has always been active from being a former college wrestler and pro snowboarder to a Fox Sports photographer.  It has been extremely difficult on him physically and mentally not to mention the challenges it has caused in his family.  He has not been able to do anything physical with his kids or family for years.  He's had to watch his oldest boy and young girls grow up for the past three years without being physically active at all.  Erik's currently working as a software product developer after being out of work off and on for the past 3ys.  His current job does not offer insurance, so he outsourced coverage, and his deductible is $10,000.   Erik has been dealing with no cartilage in his hip for the past 3yrs and now he is dealing with bone on bone grinding that causes sleepless nights.  He has already ground 4mm of the socket off, and it will only get worse if he does not have the surgery ASAP.  He's been on a waiting list for more than 9 months and recently found out he has a 6-day window to come up with the $10,000 deductible.
