Ease financial worries-Bless the Hokes-Love big
Friends, after a long and difficult battle, Adam Hoke went home to the Lord early Friday morning. Overwhelmed with grief that is curiously laced with a hope and peace, his wife Robin and daughters Sarah and Katherine stand at the threshold of a journey of their own healing.
In this next leg of the journey, may we each be willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus to Adam’s grieving family as they allow their hearts to be healed, their hope to be restored, and their story to be redeemed. Our God is an awesome God. No matter what! His ways are higher than ours and His thoughts are higher, too. In His infinite wisdom, the healing He provided Adam was not on this side of heaven. As we all wrestle with that difficult truth, may we draw closer to Him and do what He commands: love.
How can we love the Hokes? There are so many ways. Today, the most tangible way to help is by donating money toward funeral costs. It is the desire of those close to the Hokes that Robin not have debt associated with the unavoidable costs of a funeral. While grieving, a young widow should not be worrying about bills!
Join us in surrounding Robin, Sarah, and Katherine with prayer. Let us run errands and make meals. Let us plow their snow and mow their grass. Many of you have already been doing just that. I know Adam would be filled with gratitude to know we will be caring for his beautiful wife and daughters in these ways.
To pay your respects to the family, a viewing will be held on Monday, November 18th at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street in Westminster. Then, on Tuesday, November 19, a funeral service will be held at Crossroads Community Church, 895 Leidy Church Road in Westminster. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
In addition to this GoFundMe page, donations can be mailed and made payable to Harvest Church, earmarked benevolence, at P.O. Box 579 Hampstead, Maryland 21074
