Epilepsy Society

I'm taking part in the Manchester to Blackpool (61 miles) bike ride on 13th July 2025, raising money to benefit Epilepsy Society.
On October 4th 2024, our world stood still. My beautiful boy Nate, just before his 8th birthday, had his first epileptic seizure. One moment he was cuddled up next to me, half-asleep like he always did, and the next, his tiny body was shaking uncontrollably in my arms. I held him, terrified, as his eyes rolled and his body seized—completely helpless.

After hospital visits, tests, and weeks of uncertainty, we were told it was an epileptic seizure. But without a second episode, no diagnosis could be confirmed. So now, we live in limbo—grateful for every seizure-free day, but always on edge, waiting.
Nate, in his sweet innocence, thinks he was just cold because he had no socks on. He doesn’t understand what happened, but he knows one thing: his mum is riding her bike a long way to help others like him.

So I’m taking on this challenge—riding for Nate—to raise money for the Epilepsy Society, a charity that supports families like ours and funds vital research into epilepsy.

Every mile I ride is for Nate. Every pound you donate brings us closer to understanding, to support, and to hope.
Please, if you can, donate and share. Let’s make a difference together.
