My dad’s story

Hi,

My name is India and I am raising money for Encephalitis International. When my dad was in his thirties, he was diagnosed with a life changing brain disease known as Encephalitis. His life as he knew it changed completely and he lost everything he once had. All his memories, both short term and long term, were lost. It was an extremely difficult time for him, myself and my family and changed the course of our lives as we knew them.

He found peace and solace in writing poetry, drawing and singing and was a beautiful person both inside and out.

In 2021, he passed away due to complications with the brain injury and his heart. I want to be able to continue both his legacy and the support that Encephalitis International have given me by running a 10K. It would mean so much to me if you can donate to keep the invaluable support from Encephalitis International continuing for years to come.

I will be running 10k at the Moo-rathon on Saturday the 21st of March to raise money for the cause.

100% of the funds raised from this 10K race will go to Encephalitis International to help individuals and families affected by the devastating disease. Please join me in spreading awareness of this phenomenal charity.
