On behalf on my life long friend Valerie Breese and her partner Jake Atkinson I am setting up a go fund me page to help support them and their beautiful family during this very tragic time. Please help these devoted parents provide for their two smallest children . The injuries are long listedwith many treatments involved. There will be long term rehabilitation and physiotherapy needed once the injuries she has sustained have healed
On Saturday, a 32-year-old driver of Norfolk County was sitting on an ATV when a 2-year-old child that was sitting on the driver’s lap pressed the throttle causing the ATV to reverse a high rate of speed.
The driver realized that a 4-year-old child was playing in the driveway and attempted to avoid her however collided with the child and rolled the vehicle.
As a result, the 2-year-old child suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for treatment.
The 4-year-old child was also taken to the hospital and then transfered by Ornge ambulance to a Hamilton area hospital to be treated for serious injuries. Injuries included a broken collarbone , a fractured pelvis a fractured tail bone, 5 broken ribs, and her lung collapsing , she also suffered a concussion.
The driver was not injured.
