FUND NEW PRESCHOOL- Tiny Trees closure imminent
Donation protected
Tiny Trees Preschool, a Seattle-based outdoor preschool nonprofit, has abruptly closed operations with only 1 weeks’ notice! Parents have been left to scramble to find alternate options for their children 5 days a week and teachers have been left without employment. Fourteen Jefferson Park families have come together to keep kids and teachers at Jefferson Parl TTP together in a new preschool for the rest of the school year.
40% of Jefferson Park families were attending on scholarship through the Seattle Preschool Program. Caitlin Ibarra, experienced business owner, is starting Acorn and Pebble Preschool LlC for our classroom to finish out the school year together but because the SPP funds are no longer available to us, our emergency preschool is left with a large deficit to cover the employment of our teachers through the next three months. We want to provide financial aid to all the families that were on scholarships either from SPP and Tiny Trees.
ANY amount that you might consider donating to this community of 15 kids and 3 amazing teachers helps! Acorn and Pebble Preschool is not a 501(C)(3) tax-deductible organization, because that is a lengthy process. Your donations will not be tax deductible.
However, Acorn and Pebble Preschool will not make a profit over this three-month venture, ending June 30th. Acorn and Pebble Preschool will be paying teachers as employees.
Every family that is able will be spending more than they were prior to Tiny Trees Closure, and several families are spending countless hours and money to get things started quickly to keep our kids together in their class. If Tiny Trees is able to resume, funding for Acorn and Pebble Preschool will be refunded.
With a donation of any amount you can help keep 15 kids in class and 3 teachers employed until the summer!
Thank you from all the Jefferson Park TTP, soon to be Acorn and Pebble Preschool, families!
