Elle and I need your help
Donation protected
Hello Everyone! Well....2020 has been quite a year hasn't it folks? I have never done a GoFundMe before so here goes! On Monday night/Tuesday morning at around 12:30am, I was shutting out lights to head to bed when I heard my dog making strange noises. I walked back to my bedroom to find her standing there covered in blood on her mouth and paws. I looked at the floor and found a pack of razor blades that she had gotten into and eaten about 5 of them. I have had this dog for 10 years and she has NEVER done anything like this so I am beyond baffled. The blades were in a box, in my bathroom tucked away. I rushed her to Veterinary Speciality And Emergency Center here in Philadelphia where she went through surgery to have the shards removed. She is in recovery and thankfully doing well so far! I am asking for your help as this was obviously completely unexpected and not something I was financially prepared for at all. The vet had quoted me anywhere between 4,000-5,000 pending no complications. The final bill ended up being a little over $5,500.
A little back story on Elle. I was living in Los Angeles in 2010 when I received an email about a puppy who was brought into South Central LA with blunt force trauma to her right leg and was in danger of being euthanized. I volunteered to foster her through a rescue and went down to the shelter that same day. 10 years later, obviously a foster fail, this little girl and I have been through so much and she has been my constant companion through EVERYTHING. She is my cat's best friend, a lover of tennis balls and tug toys.
I know that times are tough but any help would be immensely appreciated. If you cannot donate, please do share this link! Thank you all so much for reading <3
