Eleanor Rognlien's Heart Gifts

Eleanor Grace Rognlien was born on Wednesday, July 20 at 9:01 pm. She weighed in at 8lbs 2oz and is 20" long. She is a beautiful baby - perfectly created - a true gift from God.

Eleanor was born with a heart defect. She had open heart surgery on Tuesday, August 2 at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. They know exactly what is wrong and have a comprehensive plan on how to fix it. In the world of congenital heart defects, it is a common one and she should lead a very normal life after it has been repaired.

Eleanor will need a few follow up surgeries throughout her life; her second one in 5-6 months and another when she is about 4.  CHLA is one the top 3 hospitals in the country for baby heart surgeries and has an excellent team surrounding her. 

We are raising money to help defer any expenses during this time.  Amy is currently on maternity leave and will take a family leave when that is over.  Both Bobby and Amy have been at the hospital with Eleanor every day making it difficult for Bobby to work.
