Hebrews 13:16 “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”

Friends please rally to raise support for our classmate, family member and friend!

My name is Kiara Stewart and I am setting up this gofundme account for my mother Keisha Stewart. She had one previously setup by a family member but we wanted to go ahead and get this one going because more has happened since it was uploaded and we're having trouble accessing the account.

As most of you know there was a previous gofundme account setup for Keisha to help with her medical bills. She has endured quite a lot within the last five months. Keisha suffers from a rare blood disorder called TTP which will require her to be on medication for the rest of her life. TTP is Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura is a rare autoimmune blood disorder that is considered a true medical emergency. TTP is diagnosed at a rate of 3 in 1 million people per year. Potentially fatal complications can result from internal blood clotting with damage to critical organs such as the brain, heart and kidneys. She has relapsed twice since being diagnosed in 2005 with her latest bout in 2010. She also suffered a heart attack and a stroke at the same time in April, 2010. She fought back from that and returned to work within six months but quickly learned she was unable to be productive due to the high demands from her employer and eventually lost her job in November, 2011. She was on unemployment and moved back home to take care of her mother who was on dialysis in 2012. In 2013, Keisha suffered a few seizures which landed her back in the hospital once again with no insurance or means to pay for her medicine.

Tragedy struck once again in March of 2015 when her mother unexpectedly passed away. Keisha had been taking care of her mother for three years. This sudden tragic chain of events has left her in quite a financial burden. So anyone who knows her knows she is not one to have her hand out but usually the one asking if you’re alright…It’s time we come together and show her the same love she shows us day in and day out.

In May, 2015 she became ill and went to the ER and was told “incorrectly” that she had a superficial clot in her left leg. She followed up by seeking additional advice and soon found out that the vein/clot was indeed the entire length of her left leg. She had to give herself injections twice a day for a week and the injections were quite expensive. $600 for ten injections to be exact. She had money saved up and was able to purchase them at that time but since then her health has declined. After the blood clots in May she began to have  additional problems which caused her to lose a lot of blood. She was going to the doctor and paying $130 out of pocket each visit just to keep her current medications available. After being told nothing serious would come from the bleeding situation she became ill over the weekend and a friend took her to the ER in Hendersonville. She had lost a large amount of blood and had to receive seven units of blood and was in CCU for six days. Eventually they were able to get the bleeding to stop and she was discharged on Thursday night, August 6. She was having trouble breathing and was taken back to the emergency room on Saturday afternoon, August 8, where it was determined that Keisha has two blood clots on her lung. She was put back in CCU where she is currently receiving medical care to eliminate the clots by blood thinners and injections. They are having to keep her because of her bleeding condition. Her bills are becoming extremely high between all the hospital and dr bills, including regular day to day bills as well as trying to take care of her mothers affairs after her untimely death.

For all that know my mother, knows she has a heart of gold, she is always there for anyone and is a great listener and provider to those in need. I would pray that everyone would take it upon themselves to donate whatever is upon your heart. If every person that read this donated $5 it would quickly raise a large amount that can go toward her upcoming bills.

She is still in the hospital as we speak and just received another blood transfusion and iron infusion yesterday, Friday, August 14. I am worried about her. She puts on a good front and tries to act like she is fine but I can tell she is growng tired and is weak. Knowing that there are funds available to pay for her medicine and medical bills would take a big load of stress off of her and allow her peace of mind to recuperate and heal.

Thank you to all of those that have already donated, visited, called and texted regarding her health and most of all keep the prayers coming because she still has a way to go! God Bless you all....and share, share, SHARE!!!
