Family in Need After Fire

Hello, my name is Jamie Sheehan Coleman; this GoFundMe has been set up on behalf of my neighbors and friends the Russell-Linkins’ Family, survivors of a house fire on Monday, May, 22 at 12:30am. The fire engulfed their home, permanently displacing George, 10 years old (aka Keamy), Bella, 5 years old and their parents. Tragically their beloved family dog, Betty (aka Betty-girl) was lost in the fire.

They watched everything they owned and cherished disappear into smoke and flames – memories, clothing, shoes, furniture, housewares, pictures, important documents. The Russell-Linkins’ Family have lost everything including their sense of security and stability. The long road of rebuilding their lives and their home will happen over time and in phases. There are immediate needs such as food, shelter and daily essentials and then a different set of needs will come later down the road to reestablish their home.

On a person note: Our families have been “back to back” neighbors for more than 10 years…Betty was the first to welcome us to the neighborhood. Our sons are best friends (or as they call each other, brothers) and our dogs were boyfriend and girlfriend. We’ve celebrated birthdays, showers, holidays and more in each other homes and it is impossible to make sense of what has happened…“there but for the grace of God go I”.
