You can see that this GoFundMe has been such a huge help for Kasper and Liz since Juju’s murder. We’ve been able to keep them housed, fed, in counseling, together, and moved to a new city for a fresh start. Liz is back to work already and Kasper will be shortly. I’m so impressed with how resilient and capable they are. Here’s the “but”: their cat got ill and was bleeding and howling upon attempting to urinate. He needed surgery to survive. Normally, as a parent, I’d take this as a sad opportunity to explain how some times we just have to let go. They have let go of enough in the past few weeks - MUCH More than most of us ever will. So, he had the surgery and he’s doing well now. It cost $10,200 to shorten his urethra, remove the blockage, and stabilize him so he could make it.
If you’ve donated already, thank you. Please share this if you can. If you’ve have been meaning to and haven’t been able to yet, this is our last big push - just to help cover this massive and wildly untimely cost. If you’re thinking “that’s a lot to spend on a pet” or “I don’t know if I would have spent that on my own pet”, I get it. Me too. This was just not the time to let him go. It’s been too much this month already.
So, one last time, if you can share or give, please consider it. These folks are already stepping back up and getting “normal” life going such a short time after losing such a close loved one.
They could use this last bit of help to move forward.
Thank You!!
