Vehicle Accident
Donation protected
Nick Dawe was in a serious vehicle accident on Aug 21, 2018. He was in the passenger seat. Nick's injuries were serious enough that he was put in an induced coma and airlifted via STARS helicopter to Edmonton for Emergency treatment. About a week after the incident, he has been released from the hospital. He has significant arm injury. Also, there was fear of brain swelling and he did have a serious blow to the head. Luckily, he should make a full recovery but still isn't able to be active (even watch TV) as he is resting to recover from the concussion.
Nick was hired full time less than three months ago and doesn't qualify for short-term benefits. Despite the recent hire, he has been on our spare board for and worked more than a thousand hours, so he has been a valued member of ATS Calgary Team for more than a year.
We would like to help with the bills that are associated with this emergency-ambulance, medication and temporary loss of income.
