Celebrating Phoebie
Donation protected
We are a group of friends that have been inspired by Phoebie, a 12 year old child that fought cancer to the very end. A daughter, sister, songwriter and singer who said"i don't want any child or adult to experince what i am experiencing at the moment. The pain may be unbearable but it has made me stronger".
Phoebie was diagnonised with a rare form of aggressive bone cancer (Osteo-sarcoma) in May 2015. Her desire was to bring awareness to children and parents especially to the African community who have not received "the same opportunities that I have received from the Australian community".
Phoebie passed away on the 2nd of March 2016
The purpose of the fund is to help send Phoebie for burial in Africa from Australia and to help her family in this difficult time. In the future we hope to start a Phoebie Saopa foundation to bring awareness to the African community and the world at large about bone Osteo-sarcoma.
