To Those of you who don’t know, because we have chosen to keep it a private matter until now, my sister is in critical condition. Our Friend, our Daughter, our Sister, our Cousin, our Aunt, has been hospitalized in critical condition since November 10th. She is currently sedated in the ICU while her physicians develop a treatment plan.

Michelle‘s immediate family are not only faced with this unexpected emotional hardship, but also the time and cost of commuting to Stockton every day to be with her. Unpaid leave from work will allow them to maximize their time with Michelle, but the uncertainty of how to keep up with life’s ongoing responsibilities can be very overwhelming.

To help care for Michelle‘s family, we her friends are requesting donations. The funds will be used to put her family in a local Stockton hotel while they navigate next steps of Michelle’s treatment plan and endeavor to transfer her long-term care to a facility closer to home in the Bay Area.

Some of you may not have seen Michelle for a while — maybe even a few years — but if you think back on it, we trust that you can remember a time when she was there for you when you badly needed a friend. Please consider being there for her now. Michelle needs her family and friends more than ever!
