In Loving Memory of Dusttyn Barlow

It is with broken hearts that we share the loss of Dusttyn Barlow, a deeply loved son, grandchild, cousin, friend, and soul who left this world far too soon, just one week after celebrating his 20th birthday.

I have known Lisa Barlow for over 25 years. We grew up together, navigated life side by side, and even shared the journey of pregnancy at the same time. I knew Dusttyn before he was even born, and I have watched him grow up alongside my Layla, who have been friends since the very beginning.

Dusttyn had a laugh you never forgot — the kind that filled a room and made everyone else start laughing too, even if they didn’t know why. His sense of humor was effortless and genuine, always finding a way to bring lightness into even the most ordinary moments. He had a way of making people feel comfortable, seen, and included, often using humor as his way of connecting with those around him. That laughter, and the joy he brought with it, will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Dusttyn was a deeply kind and loving young man who meant everything to those closest to him. He shared an incredibly rare and unbreakable bond with his mom—they were inseparable, best friends, and truly each other’s whole world who still to this day even at 20 called her mama . He loved with his whole heart, and the relationships he built with his family and friends were genuine, strong, and full of meaning. His presence brought comfort, love, and connection, and he will always be remembered for the depth of his heart and the love he gave so effortlessly.

Dusttyn was more than the struggles he faced. He was someone’s baby, someone’s whole world, and he was loved deeply every single day of his life. Like so many families, Lisa faced the painful reality of mental health problems touching someone she loves. After a long and difficult battle, Dusttyn has tragically passed.

No parent should ever have to bury their child.

We are asking for support to help Lisa cover funeral expenses and to give her the time and space she needs to grieve this unimaginable loss without the added burden of financial stress. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go toward honoring Dusttyn’s life and helping Lisa through the hardest chapter of her life.
