Donate to Mike Berry's ALS Journey
Donation protected
Two and a half years ago, Mike Berry was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. For those that are not familiar with ALS, it is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Mike is strong and has fought hard, but the disease is taking its toll on him physically and emotionally. This has also affected his tight-knit family. Unfortunately, he has not been able to work for over a year due to the progressive nature of this disease. Mike's wife, Lisa, is unable to work as she is Mike’s full-time caregiver, and takes care of their daughter, Sydney, who needs constant care as well. Mike and Lisa also have two sons, Cameron and Alec, who help care for Sydney and Mike when they can.
From the time of his diagnosis until now, Mike has been in and out of the hospital many times and has had in-home care. As you can imagine, the cost of the treatments and the loss of income is taking its toll on the family financially and emotionally. Mike and the family have been reluctant to ask for help, but now is the time in which they need assistance as much as possible.
I am asking for you to help this amazing family any way that you can. Anything that you can donate will help pay for mounting medical bills, family needs, and basic living expenses. If you cannot afford anything at this time, please say a prayer for Mike and his family.
Thank you for the support that you can provide.
