Emily’s half marathon for Kibbutz Be’eri

Donation protected
Welcome to my GoFundMe page!

On the 26th October, I’m going to be taking part in a half marathon race and I would be so grateful to anyone willing to sponsor me as the funds will be going towards the UJIA’s project of rebuilding Kibbutz Be’eri after it was brutally targeted on October 7th.

Kibbutz Be’eri was once a beautiful and thriving community but on October 7th 2023, Be’eri along with many others, suffered tremendous losses with 102 people killed, 26 taken hostage to Gaza and the entire Kibbutz virtually destroyed.

While the surviving victims have been displaced and their medical and wellbeing needs are being attended to, the infrastructure and spirit that once made Kibbutz Be’eri such a vibrant community must also be rebuilt.

During the attack the terrorists caused significant damage to the kindergarten, schools and playgrounds. To enable families with children to return, UJIA are participating in the rebuilding of the education area, 3 new kindergartens, an open sports area and an after-school activity centre.

Physically and symbolically, this will be the heart of the kibbutz where their children can hopefully grow and thrive once again.

I hope you will consider sponsoring me with as much as you feel able to. All funds will go to the UJIA through this GoFundMe page and will be exclusively directed towards helping the people of Kibbutz Be’eri to rebuild their lives and their community.
