Hi, my name is Ellis and I’m 22 years old. 

I know many of you might not know me by that name.

But anyways I’ve always dreamt of diving into a completely new culture, learning tons of new things and at the same time being able to help out local communities.

During this year I’ll be living in a little town called Palmeiras in the state of Bahia. There I’ll be helping out in a local Kindergarten and in my free time I’ll get to learn a new language, experience a new culture and explore a whole new country.

But in order to fulfill this dream I’m obligated to raise money for the organization.

The organization is called Freunde Waldorf and since 1976 they have been supporting Waldorf educational institutions. Waldorf pedagogy refers to a holistic, developmental education system that focuses on fostering a child’s "head, heart and hands" through an arts integrated curriculum that addresses intellectual, emotional and physical growth. With the help of your donations, the organization supports up to 830 Waldorf educational institutions worldwide! Apart from that you’ll also help the volunteers and the emergency pedagogy, which has already carried out urgently needed rehabilitation measures in many crisis areas.
