Help our Brother Casey Fight for His Health and Future

Our brother, Casey Comstock, has always been someone who works incredibly hard. He earned his journeyman’s license in 2018 after years of dedication, and eventually achieved his dream of purchasing his first home last year.

In Augustof 2024, Casey began experiencing severe health issues—intense pain, numbness, migraines, extreme nausea, fatigue, disorientation and many other heath problems. After multiple appointments with different providers, doctors finally discovered a tumor in his neck. The tumor is wrapped around his spinal cord and sensory nerves, causing unbearable pain and numbness affecting his mobility on one side of his body.

Casey has been unable to work since May. His surgeons estimate that after surgery, he will be unable to work for at least 6 months to a year, with recovery potentially taking up to a full year. There is also a possibility he may never be able to return to his trade work due to long-term physical limitations. He has exhausted his savings on medical care and daily survival expenses and is now at risk of losing his home.

Upcoming High-Risk Surgery – December 1st

Due to how delicate and high risk the surgery is, By choice and for safety, Casey will undergo surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where a specialist is willing to take on his case.

The surgery is extremely risky and carries the potential for permanent paralysis or even death. It may include:

•Fusion of multiple vertebrae
•Possible fusion to his skull
•A week recovery period in ICU, followed by up to two weeks of continued treatment and healing on another hospital floor

Once discharged and cleared by his medical team, he will begin physical therapy to work toward regaining mobility and strength.

Despite everything, Casey continues to face this fight with the same drive that earned him his license and helped him build his life.

How You Can Help

We are asking for support to help with medical expenses, travel to Salt Lake, rehabilitation, and basic living needs during recovery, including housing costs to help prevent losing his home while unable to work. Casey also has a vehicle that is almost paid off. He only has a few payments left. He needs his truck to make it to appointments.

Your support, whether through donation or simply sharing his story, means more than words can express.

With gratitude,
Casey’s brother Dustin
and sister, Ashleigh
