Bobby Moser "Boppa"
While in his motorized wheelchair, Boppa was tragically struck by a vehicle while crossing the intersection at 58th and Main Street in Thurston on the night of November 30th. He had multiple breaks to his pelvis, broken tail bone, broken rib, and general trauma to his body. The first few days in the hospital were very scary, filled with uncertainties as he lost most of his natural functions, including swallowing and even the use of his arms.
After about 5 days he started showing definite signs of improvement, but it took a full 9 days of Doctors working to stabilize Boppa. He experienced some hallucinations and mental distress while in the hospital that seemed to ease as his body tried to heal.
Doctors felt he was stable enough to move to a rehabilitation facility to start focusing more on the physical therapy aspects of his recovery. He had regained the use and control of his arms and hands, was able to eat small amounts of food and pretty much had has true personality back. He seemed to be on the mend...
December 9th, Boppa was transferred to a rehabilitation facility. Sadly and unexpectedly, his family received the devastating news that his heart could no longer endure, and sadly passed away early the morning of December 16th, 2024.
The family does not have the funds for the burial he deserves. We are asking our wonderful community to please help ease this burden. These funds will be used to pay for his funeral and burial costs, costs as well as paying off his debts, living expenses and cleaning out his home at Timber Point.
There is no amount too small to be helpful. If you are not able to donate, please share this fundraiser with your friends and family.
With gratitude, and much love to the Holloway-Suddath and Moser family.
