Update:
09-30-24
I wanted to take a moment to update everyone on Kamali. She completed her last day of radiation therapy a week ago, and it really took a toll on her. She's been very tired and lacking her usual energy as she adjusts to the treatment.
During the radiation, she received great care, but now we're focused on helping her recover. We're in a waiting period to see if the treatment has been effective, and we should have an idea of the results in the next 1-2 weeks.
We appreciate all the love, support, and positive thoughts you’ve sent our way during this challenging time. It truly means the world to us. I’ll keep you all updated as we know more!

On 09-10-24 we went into the oncologist to do X-rays to make sure nothing had spread which came back positive. Unfortunately the CT scans and biopsy wasn’t as great of news. We discovered she has pancreatic cancer and due to the location of the mass surgery is not an option.
After talking extensively with the radiation oncology team we think the best option is start her on 5 rounds of radiation which if successful will reduce the size of the tumor allowing her liver to begin functioning properly again. With this tumor type life expectancy is anywhere between 6-18 months so praying that everything goes well with her treatments starting next week.
Incredibly thankful to anyone who has donated, shared this, or extended supportive words. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Hi everyone,
For the past two months, Kamali and I have been facing a difficult journey as she’s been dealing with severe gastrointestinal issues. We’ve been in and out of the vet’s office multiple times, doing biweekly checkups, blood tests, and exams, all of which kept coming back clear. Unfortunately, things took a turn this past week when extensive bloodwork revealed that Kamali is suffering from both liver and kidney failure.
An emergency ultrasound discovered masses in her stomach, and tomorrow we have an appointment with a cancer specialist to determine the next steps and figure out a treatment plan moving forward.
Kamali is not just a dog, she’s my heart. Many of you know her and understand how special and amazing she is. She’s always been full of life, love, and joy, and I’m determined to give her the best possible care. However, the medical costs are rising quickly, and I’m asking for help.
Any support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page—would mean the world to Kamali and me. Thank you for being a part of her life and for helping in any way you can.
With gratitude,
Bryan & Kamali
