Dobby: the House Dog's leg and new family

Elyse and I found this dog last Monday, starving and injured, by a school. She was so scared at first but never made a sound. We gave her a treat and she was so grateful that it really hit both of us. Upon closer inspection, we found she had abrasions all over her body that looked dirty and, at the very least, a broken leg. I picked her up and we rushed her to a shelter to get help. The whole time she was quiet and licking every part of us she could reach, so grateful for the care and food. 

After getting her to the shelter, we immediately told them that this dog would be fostered by us and that this dog would be getting love from now on no matter what we had to do. We asked them, before making any big decisions about her, to let us know so we knew the right thing was being done for Dobby not just what was cheapest. 

Turns out that the vet thinks she was thrown from a car which gave her a broken leg and all the abrasions. they are recommending amputation but we plan on getting a second opinion first. We go and pick her up today and then make our appointments. we aren't sure how much everything will cost yet, but we know it will be at least 1500 either way. She is so worth it.
