The family and friends of Daniel Molla, are heartbroken to share the news of Daniel’s sudden passing on Monday, September 7, 2026, at 19 years old. Daniel was a bright, kind-hearted young man who touched so many lives in his short time with us. He was known for his contagious laugh, his gentle spirit, humility and warmth he brought into every room he entered.

Daniel was known as a hardworking, dedicated football player on and off the field. He played Offensive Lineman for the University of Waterloo, while studying Biochemistry. Whether he was on the field, in the classroom, cracking a joke, or checking in on a friend, Daniel had a gift for making the people around him feel seen and cared for. He was humble, friendly, and endlessly hilarious, a true friend who always looked out for others before himself.

We are raising funds to support Daniel's parents, Hailu Molla and Etsegenet (Aster) Tilahun, who are now facing unexpected costs. An unimaginable burden on top of an unimaginable loss.

Every contribution will go directly toward easing this financial weight so the family can focus on grieving and honouring Daniel's memory.
