Dance Show Fundraiser - Support the Arts!

Amit Patel & Ishika Seth are Indian Contemporary artists based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

 

We are grateful to have been selected for the ODC Rental Relief initiative to present our work at the ODC Theater in San Francisco in April 2022. However, to make this show a reality, we still need significant funding. It has been a dream to present our work and vision in the Indian Contemporary dance space and we would love your support. No amount is too small, anything helps. Your donation will help us cover theater costs, production, costumes, artist compensation and more.

 

"Unearthed" has been a project that has captured our imagination; a modern take on Indian epics. Giving a voice to the characters whose stories remain untold, to challenge the dominant narrative and examine how these stories are relevant today. Collaborating with singers, musicians and designers, we strive to bring forth our unique vision, rooted in tradition but with a global resonance.

 

We bring our unique perspectives to this re-interpretation. Ishika is an immigrant woman from India and a mother. Amit is a queer Indian-American. Coming from different generations of marginalized groups, the excavation of forgotten stories is especially important to us.
