Ken needs your help

On the 11th of May 2019 at 3:30pm Ken's boat house has caught fire. Police believe an electrical fault has started the fire, and may have been able to extinguished had it not been that Ken was visiting his elderly sick mother. A gas bottle has set alight and exploded causing Ken's boat to be destroyed. Ken purchased his boat 8 years ago, and spent almost all his life savings restoring the 70 year old boat. However due to its age it was unable to be insured. Ken has also lost thousands of dollars worth of fishing gear as a result. To make matter worse Ken is now responsible for bill of the clean up to retrieve what is left of his home.
Ken is needing some financial help as recently as last month has been unable to work. Ken works with traumatised children and a work accident has caused permanent impairment of his spine. It is unclear if Ken will be able to return to work.
Ken is able to avoid any physical injuries from the fire but the loss of his home and personal belongings has caused sever mental and emotional distress. Ken is a true Aussie battler in every sense of the word, he has come from very humble beginnings and has never in his 47years of working ever taken any sort of help.
For neighbors in Townsville, or anybody else who hears Ken's story and is willing to give a small donation, it would go a long way to help a man who has lost everything. Any amount would do -- whether it's $20, $10 or $5, as the small amounts add up -- and it would really help a true Aussie battler in need.
