Cremation Expenses for Jay Fawver
Donation protected
For those who don't know who I am, My name is Kim. I am the mother of Jay's children (Tyler, Brittney, and Corbin) and was married to him for 14 years. I was contacted by authorities on February 14th and notified that Jay had passed away. This was unexpected and has not been easy on anyone who knew Jay.
Prior to his passing, Jay had been working hard on improving his life and rebuilding relationships with family and friends. His children included. He was so proud of this. I chose to take on handling the arrangements so his kids would not have to.
As you can imagine, the kids and I were not prepared for the expenses that have come along with Jay's passing. He did not have any life insurance or death benefits from work. Jay made his wishes to be cremated known and the kids and I intend to honor his final wishes. But we can't do it alone. I really struggled with asking for help with the expenses for Jay's cremation, but at this point have no other choice.
I made arrangements for the least expensive options, but it is still over $3000 just for the cremation. We are also planning a trip to the other side of the mountains to get Jay's ashes, as well as his belongings from storage for the kids. If you are able to help we would really appreciate it. This is truly a time when $1 or $5 can help. It all adds up. And if you cannot help (which we completely understand), would you please consider sharing this on Facebook or any other way you may be willing? If you're uncomfortable with this method, please reach out for alternatives.
I know in my heart that Jay would never have wanted this burden to be placed on his children and I or any of you. So I really do appreciate any support you'd be willing to provide. And of course, prayers are needed and appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
