Crazy Larry's Memorial Fund

Hi, my name is Lynnette, I am creating this Go Fund Me to raise funds for the family of Larry "Crazy Larry" Graspy, with funeral expenses, and medical bills incurred through his battle with cancer.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, Larry Gene Graspy “Crazy Larry” passed away peacefully after a long battle with prostate cancer. Larry is remembered for his infectious personality and being the life of the party, his love for his family, and of course his passion for the Des Moines Buccaneers hockey team and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He was loved by his family and fans alike. Larry spent many years at the Bucs arena entertaining people, harassing opponents, and getting everyone pumped up. He was proud to brag that he was their “unofficial mascot”. Even after he couldn't physically support his Bucs in person, Larry would follow their progress closely, and loved reminiscing, and sharing his many “Crazy Larry” stories with everyone he would encounter. Crazy Larry loved getting his fans chanting “Let’s Go Bucs” at a deafening level that would ring throughout the arena.

When Larry wasn’t cheering for his Bucs he was rooting for his Hawks. Go Hawks!

Even while battling cancer Larry never lost his love for the Bucs and will be laid to rest wearing his Des Moines Buccaneers Jersey.

As the family deals with the many stresses of losing their loved one, let’s try to lessen the burden of financial restraints to lay him to rest.
