Cover Binx's Emergency Vet Bill
Donation protected
Hello everyone.
When I first adopted Binx from a foster group back in 2021 I didn't realize how sick he was. This 5-month-old kitten couldn't keep any food and water down, throwing up every couple of hours. I swore I wasn't going to give up on him; I had taken him to 3 veterinary hospitals over the span of a week, until finally a doctor was able to figure out what was wrong--an infection in his guts, which thankfully was easily taken care of with some antibiotics.
Binx has been the brightest joy in my life. He's a silly little lovebug who loves to play, wants so badly to catch the birds from the cat TV videos I put on the TV, and wants nothing more than to cuddle on my lap several times a day.
On Memorial Day of this year--May 29th, 2023--I woke up to find Binx had a urinary blockage. As it was a holiday, most of the vet clinics, including our main vet, were closed. The only emergency clinic open charges me $200 upfront before they would even see him, and then estimated an additional $3k to $5k to treat him. They stressed that if I were to only do the minimum to get him treated that day so I could get him checked in to his vet the next day that he would die and I would be terrible for doing this. They would not allow me to be in the same room with him, keeping us separated. Reviews were sketchy and made my anxiety to choose what to do even worse (a lot of reviews stating that pets had to ultimately be put down, and police were stationed to push patients, which I witnessed with my own eyes police are indeed stationed at the clinic).
"5 days agoNEW
Call them selfs and emergency vet but when a dog is actively dieing in the parking lot they would not even let her in the building with out 300 dollars up front. They don't care about the animals they care about money only. Voice mail says if emergency come straight in but they wouldn't even see her"
Ultimately, after calling family for help, I made the choice to get the minimum treatment done to help with his blockage so I could then transfer him to his regular clinic the next day. Again, they stressed that he would die and I would be awful to do such a thing, but made me sign a release waiver and gave me the new bill. I've attached the original bill and the new bill with the changes made for treatment.

The next day I took him to his regular vet and they were able to do the full treatment within a week--giving me updates, letting me see him and be there--but th bill was still over $1k.
Main Vet Bill
The bill cost all the money I have in the bank. I have another sick cat, Evie, who is diabetic and needs a new bottle every month that, as stated in the bill that includes the cost for Binx's treatment, is $174.
Today, June 25th 2023, Binx is experiencing what may be a urinary blockage again. My rent and additional bills are due soon. I'm still paying off the emergency vet bill. I will not have the money to cover the costs. I don't know what to do. I'm getting ready to sell some sentimental stuff I have to help myself. I had hesitated to open a GoFundMe weeks ago to ask for help, but I'm at a loss now as Binx is experiencing another blockage and Evie still needs treatment for her diabetes. I put $4k as the goal to cover the cost of the previous bill, for Evie's next bottle of insulin, and what this next bill could be.
Please, any amount would be greatly appreciated. Spreading my GoFundMe helps. I'm ashamed to beg as I do not have anything to offer back, such as art or videos or streams. All I can offer is gratitude for your help. Please help us.
