Corner - Short Film
Logline: After a falling out in their relationship, two brothers find themselves on opposite sides of the boxing ring. Their fight becomes far more than just a title.
Synopsis: Two brothers find themselves on opposite sides of the boxing ring. Marc Thomas, the younger brother, has been on his own since high school. He finds his first real shot back in Phoenix for a tournament that features a fighter trained by his older brother, Luke. They attempt to reconcile their relationship, but it is not until after the title fight that the brothers are able to be back in each other’s corner.
Social Benefit: Typical boxing underdog movies like Rocky, Cinderella Man, and Warrior are rags to riches stories about white men. But if we look at the history of boxing, African American males tell a truer story of rags to riches, Mike Tyson being the prime example. We as filmmakers want to tell a more accurate and diverse story by casting African Americans.
Gratefulness: Whatever anyone can contribute financially, we greatly appreciate it. If you cannot afford anything, no worries! Thank you for your time. Please share us or follow us on social media. Your support means the world to our film.
