Corey Brown Scholarship Fund

Corey Brown, 13 year old son of Craig and Michelle Brown of Marshalltown and nephew of 1996 Marshalltown High School graduate Edward Johnson and wife Tessa Johnson, left his home shortly after 11pm on Tuesday, January 22nd while his parents slept.  When they woke up Wednesday morning they found Corey not in his room.  A five day search for Corey ensued, with hopes that he would be found and returned to his family.  This was not the ending that everyone hoped for and Sunday morning, January 27th, Corey was found deceased in a secluded area on the west side of Marshalltown.  His family, and the city of Marshalltown is mourning this very tragic loss of one of our own.

The 1996 Graduating Class of Marshalltown High School would like to honor our classmate and his family with a small starter fund that can be used for a scholarship in Corey's name or another use determined by the family at a later date.
