Hello! My name is Chelsea Kincaide. Some of you may know me as Scarlett's mom, the owner of Coldwater Thrift and Collectables, or just Chelsea!
The Coldwater Fairy Garden was lovingly created years ago by a wonderful community member, Sylvia Harrigan. Each year, this enchanting space grows with more magic and wonder, touching the hearts of everyone who visits.
This isn't just a place for kids – it's a sanctuary for all ages and all people. It's where magic exists in our everyday lives, where we can find moments of reflection, therapy, and wellness. For those with special needs, it's a sensory haven! A place to touch, feel, smell, and see the beauty around us. This garden is truly one of the hearts of our Coldwater community.
Each year, the garden has been funded primarily through Sylvia's dedication, community donations, support from the landlords, and contributions from local businesses. However, with increasing costs and economic pressures, we need to come together as a community to ensure this special place continues to thrive.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference:
- Monetary donations of any amount
- Soil donations in the spring
- Flowers and plants
- Empty storage bins
- Share this campaign with friends and family
- Spread the word about the garden
— New or gently used toys for our little visitors
- Any supplies or materials you think could help
All proceeds will go directly to funding the fairy garden. Any extra funds will be donated back into our community.
If you've never visited, we'd love to welcome you to the Coldwater! The Fairy Garden is located beside Puzzles and Past Times at 20 Coldwater Road. While the garden is partially closed for the season as fall arrives, Sylvia will be reopening with a bang come May for the Coldwater Duck Race!
The Fairy Garden belongs to all of us. It's a place where children's eyes light up with wonder, where families make memories, and where our community comes together. With your support, we can ensure that this magical space continues to grow and remain special for every community member and visitor.
