Community in Honduras Needs Food during Covid-19
Donation protected
*Updated April 29th to convey a more clear message*
Communities in Honduras are in need of food. The central government of Honduras gave out food one time to towns since the beginning of coronavirus lock down. People are not allowed to work (unless at a bank, hospital or grocery store and those jobs are all filled) and have no money coming in - so they are constantly wondering where food will come from next.
Pictures attached are from Friday, April 25, 2020 - the first of my family's distribution efforts to one community. Me and my overseas cousins got together, raised money and bought foods/essential items that were distributed to the people of their community. My family and their community live in The Bay Islands, off the coast of Honduras.

Receipts of purchase (picture taken by Shenelly, community volunteer and mom)
Shanelly bagging the goods

Another receipt of purchases
Pictures are from Friday, April 25, 2020 - 1st distribution. But we don't have enough money to buy enough supplies for all families affected. Please help our efforts to feed more families and communities on the island.
Cereals, eggs, juices
My cousin Jason (community leader and a dad), happily bagged rice and beans (staples in Honduras)

Bags of rice, beans, flour. Some toilet paper and oil (blanquita)
Female menstrual items
A mom of 3 (dad present, not pictured). Many were shy and didn't take pictures. But we'll get more pictures of families after the 2nd distribution.
We're asking for $3,000.00 to see our community and hopefully other towns through the next few weeks (more money than what's asked for can see a lot of people through a longer time).
The money will be used to buy food and non-food items in bulk: beans, rice, oil, toothpaste, female menstrual products, diapers, cereal, milk and things like that. The people who will benefit are those not working because they are not allowed to work. Please donate anything you can, your support will allow folks to eat without fear of starvation. Thank you in advance, any amount you give will help.
Bag for a family of two
Thanks in advance again and please donate anything you can - a little really goes a long way.
If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures, please reach out to me - I'll be more than happy to answer!
