Meet Sadie, a gentle 8-year-old Beagle mix who has already been through more hardship than any dog should endure. Sadie was abandoned by a neighbor who tied her up in a backyard and then put her out to fend for herself. She escaped and had been roaming the neighborhood for months, surviving on trash and the occasional kindness of strangers.

When I found her, Sadie was scared, frightened and coughing — but beneath that sadness was a sweet, loving spirit just waiting to feel safe again. Since bringing her into my home, her eyes have started to soften, and she’s even begun to smile. You can see the gratitude and trust slowly returning.

Unfortunately, Sadie has been diagnosed with heartworm disease and kennel cough, and she needs urgent veterinary treatment to recover and live a healthy life. The cost of her care — including heartworm treatment, medications, testing, and follow-up visits — will be significant, and I’m hoping to raise funds in the amount of $3000  dollars to give her the chance she truly deserves.
