Cinc's Eagle Scout Funding for NICE

There is a global refugee crisis due to the war right now in the Ukraine. As refugees come to our country, it can be hard for them to adjust. My Eagle project for the Boy Scouts of America is working with a place called the Nashville International Center For Empowerment (NICE). I found out about NICE when my sister was volunteering there with the children while the parents learned English. I wasn't personally affected by the war in Ukraine until she shared with me the chalenges of the refugee children. Almost all do not speak English and have rapidly left their country for the safety of ours. I felt it was my duty to do something to help. I am offering to lead a community effort to assist with the children's move. I am as my Eagle project raising funds and organizing the creation of 113 backpacks full of useful items for child immigrants. I choose 113 bags to reference the 113 years of scouting.
