My name is Christina Blackman. Two years ago, my husband got diagnosed with cancer due to forever chemicals in the military's firefighting foam. He had to take almost a year off from work because he had to have surgery and go through several rounds of chemo. We got behind on our bills. We were slowly catching back up. But the landlord just couldn't give us any more time. We were 2 months behind. We got evicted and were only given 10 days to vacate. We got out and moved into a motel. I had to take out a few payday advances since we had to leave before payday in order to cover the motel. My husband has applied for disability through the VA several times, but he keeps getting the runaround. We've got the motel room until tomorrow morning. Hopefully, I'll be able to somehow get the funds to pay for it.
