Christi's Cobra Campaign

Here's a little background on Christi. She may be one of the healthiest people I know. She eats cleaner than almost anyone - bark and berries kind of clean, with a side of grass. She exercises regularly and intensly, recently falling in love with barre workouts.
After numerous months of misdiagnoses and countless visits to different specialists, Christi finally advocated for a colonoscopy. Fortunately yet unfortunately, the colonoscopy revealed cancer. Boo. So in June, Christi underwent a colon resection and cancer staging. While everyone was hoping the surgery would be the final treatment, pathology testing came back revealing a single involved lymph node. That's right. Stage 3. Double boo.
After multiple complications including a pneumothorax during her port placement to thoracic outlet syndrome with a blood clot INCHES away from her heart, Christi has continued to persevere and was finally able to begin her 6 months of chemotherapy. Once again, nothing could come easy for this sweet soul as the chemo has started to take it tolls on her energy, her well being, and hopefully the cancer too.
As if her medical journey had not been enough, her family has also endured a flooded bathroom that short circuited half the home, multiple schedule rearrangements, and an often sick child.
Then, to top it off, Christi was recently "terminated" from her job. A job she loved at a place that was dear to her heart. Day after day she put her heart and soul into her work, advocating for her patients day in and day out, taking phone calls on her off days, staying late, coming in early. You name it and Christi did it. And she always did it with a smile and cheerful attitude. She received numerous awards and recognitions. An already battered and bruised soul that held the medical insurance for the family. That's right, Christi was now without a job and her family without medical insurance unless they were to pay for Cobra Insurance. Those premiums are NOT cheap.
That's where we come in. I am asking you to stand up for my sweet friend and her family. Stand up for someone who stands for so many in need. Help the Ford Family pay for Cobra insurance so Christi can continue to undergo her chemotherapy without an additional financial burden.
