Christa's Medical Funds

On July 6, 2017, Christa Gibson was rushed to the emergency room due to excruciating abdominal pain. She was diagnosed with an ovarian mass. After a series of appointments and procedures, doctors have concluded the mass, a dermoid ovarian cyst, has completely taken over her right ovary. Christa’s doctors have expressed the importance of this mass being removed in order for her to live a pain-free life and to stop the mass from further damaging her reproductive organs.

Christa, a born nurturer, currently works as a caregiver for a woman who suffered from heart failure and is now a quadriplegic. She is a young, single mother of a beautiful 6-year-old girl named Sophie. Christa is a very positive person, and anyone who knows her will tell you that she brightens up the room just by walking in. She always finds the positive in a bad situation, and is one of the most selfless people you will ever meet. She is the first person you can count on when you need help, but now Christa needs our help.

Christa has surgery scheduled for December 6th, 2017 to remove the cyst and ovary. She is facing a projected recovery time of 1 month, which will cause her to be absent from work. As friends of Christa, our goal is to raise $5,000 to cover the down payment of the surgery and to help with the cost of living for Christa and Sophie during this time.
