Support Christ the King's 2024 Simbang Gabi Celebration

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn about our fundraiser! My name is Jason Ong, and I am a member of the Filipino community at Christ the King Church in Lombard, IL. Our church has been a beloved place where we gather to celebrate our faith and our Filipino heritage. One of the most important traditions for our community is Simbang Gabi, a nine-day series of Masses leading up to Christmas. This year, we will celebrate Simbang Gabi at Christ the King on Friday, December 20th at 7:00 PM. It’s a time for us to come together in prayer, anticipation, and community as we await the birth of Christ.

This year, we are raising funds to cover the costs of food, decorations, entertainment, and other essentials, ensuring that all members of our community can take part in the joy of the season, regardless of their circumstances.

In addition, we are using this occasion to extend our compassion to those in need. A portion of the funds raised will be donated to the Typhoon Relief Fund Appeal for the Philippines, in partnership with the Order of Friars Minor (Franciscans) OFM-JPIC Philippines. This fund will support the recovery efforts for communities affected by the recent typhoons in the Philippines, providing them with the necessary aid, shelter, and assistance as they rebuild their lives.
