Chrissy Hart’s liver transplant fund
Donation protected
Hi! I am Jenny Elliott and I am part of Chrissy Hart’s village. We are reaching out to the broader community for assistance. Chrissy is a 54 year old mother, new grandmother, daughter and friend. She is kind, giving to the point of self sacrifice with a witty sense of humor and a love for adventure. She has worked for 35 years in the textile industry in which she takes pride and is an invaluable member to her work family. Chrissy has been diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis . Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a rare disease that attacks the bile ducts. The word sclerosing means scarring. In PSC, your bile ducts become scarred. They slowly narrow until bile backs up into your liver and starts to damage it causing cirrhosis. The ONLY cure is a liver transplant. Chrissy’s disease has progressed rapidly and she is on the liver transplant list at Duke University Hospital. Her village is committed to her medical, physical, emotional and spiritual well being. Chrissy needs help financially. She has a large deductible as well as having to pay for lodging for 30-60 days post transplant. It is required that she live close to the hospital during this critical period of time for close monitoring. When asked by her medical team what her goal was: her answer was simple and true to Chrissy. She answered,” I want to be able to play in the floor with my grandchildren.” The world needs more Chrissy’s. Please help Chrissy see her dreams become reality. We appreciate any amount. On behalf of Chrissy we thank you! Her loving village
