Chris Funeral Expense/Landyn's care

Chris Hughes is a City of Jesup Firefighter and Jekyll Island Firefighter.  He was injured while fighting the big downtown Jesup fire and put out of work for a couple of months.  While recovering from this injury, Chris had a growth checked on his neck and was diagnosed with Stage 4 neck cancer.  He is now making daily trips to Savannah (that is a little over an hour one way) for radiation as well as chemo every few weeks.  Chris is unable to work while enduring these treatments so at the time has no income.  This fund is to help with travel expenses and of course living expenses until he is able to go back to doing what he loves....FIREFIGHTING!  The only other thing Chris loves more than firefighting is his one year old daughter Landyn.
Chris is one that never complains and isn't one to ask for help.  Life has dealt him some difficult struggles but he continues on.  Just like his daughter Landyn, he is a fighter!    We know Chris is strong and he will beat this!  Our family appreciates all of the prayers and support that is given on a daily basis.
