Chris Symmonds "Stix" Recovery Fund

Hello everyone, my name is Carrie, I am fundraising for my wonderful dad, Chris Symmonds, aka - Stix or Omar! This man, as we all know, is one of the most outstanding drummers in the Kansas City area. Since 1971, Chris has played in numerous bands ranging from country, classic rock, jazz rock, Cajun zydeco, and Irish music. He currently plays in the bands Better Off Dead, a Grateful Dead Tribute Band, Repeat Offenders, a classic rock band made up of longtime friends and family, and a new band Rocking Horse, an Americana flare.

Most of you are aware 2 weeks ago Chris had an unfortunate accident when playing in a Neil Young Tribute performance where he fell dislocating his left foot and breaking his leg. He will be having surgery next week placing plates in his leg to correct the brake. They are expecting him to be down at least another 8-10 weeks depending on the healing process.

Chris is an independent contract courier and was able to play drums in these bands for his income. This injury has halted his ability to work his courier job and bang those drums! He has many friends out there who have been so generous asking how they can help and I believe this is the best way everyone can give a helping hand.
