Charity Teams support for Boston Sparks

The Boston Sparks Association has been generously supporting runners training on the Boston Marathon course for over 5 years. Now we want to give something back to them. We are raising funds to support their mission.

Each Saturday morning from January - April, the Sparks volunteer their time, and they can be spotted with their Canteen style aid station providing hydration and fueling either at Cleveland Circle or along the carriage road in Newton.

In honor of their efforts, we wanted to give back to the Boston Sparks and thank them.

CharityTeams is asking the Boston runners community who train on the course to help by contributing to their efforts. We want to show our deepest appreciation for their contributions to our training. We can’t do it without them! They never say no to helping.

All donations are appreciated. There is strength in numbers and all our donations will add up.

Our plan is to present the Boston Sparks with a check at the CharityTeams Brunch on Sunday, April 16th, 2023, and thank them for their service.

The Boston Sparks is a 5013C Non-Profit.

The Boston Sparks Association has provided a canteen and now rehab service to the Metro Boston area since 1960.

They are literally an aid station for firefighters when fighting fires.

They have extensive experience in this area with many thousands of hours of volunteer time devoted to the care and comfort of the public safety workers in our area.

There is no charge to these agencies and their members. They respond to any request for service from any public safety agency. We have a predetermined response area that results in our automatic response within the Metro fire District but remains available for any emergency in that we can provide assistance.

The Boston Sparks Association and A-10 have been recognized for our services by the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts, The Boston Firefighters Local 718 and The Massachusetts State Police among other groups.
