Celebration of Life For Steven "Gigolo" Knowles

Hello Everyone.
My name is Markiea Knowles. I am one of Steve's (Gigolo) daughters. As many of you know, we are celebrating the first heavenly birthday of our father this September 3rd, 2020. It has been a very difficult time of grief for myself, siblings and my mother, but we are being sure to celebrate our dad in the best way that we can.
With that said, our dad was well known for his huge birthday celebrations every Labor Day weekend dating as far back as to when I was a little girl. He loved to entertain and bring the community together over great music, drinks, delicious food and a good time. We would have loved to bring everyone together this year to celebrate just like he has been doing with his big backyard bashments. However, Covid-19 is still circulating heavily, and for the safety of our family and community, we have made the tough decision to hold off on gathering this year. Instead, we are asking all of our family and friends to join us in a different way. We are asking you to help us alleviate the financial cost of giving our dad the proper memorial and donating toward the cost of the headstone at his burial location. This is also the same burial location of our paternal grandmother Dorothy, who we lost just a month before our dad, so we are looking to memorialize her as well.
We want to thank you all for showing our dad the love and support he was so deserving of for all of these years, and we ask that you spend this time sharing the great memories that you have gained with him. We thank you advance for your donation and we hope to reconvene in gathering next year.
