Fundraising efforts underway for new Crooks Community Child Care Center Building

Crooks Community Childcare Center (CCCCC) serves the community of Crooks and surrounding area by providing quality and affordable childcare for children between the ages of 2 weeks to 12 years. As our community continues to grow, the childcare needs presented in the area have grown drastically as well. Our current facility has reached capacity (42 children), with no room or space for additional growth. Our current waitlist for childcare enrollment is well into 2025, and grows weekly.

It is vital to meet the needs for childcare in association with the continued growth in housing development. Due to this, the board approved the purchase of a plot of land within city limits in 2020, with the intent to build a 8200 sq ft facility to house over 100 children full time (with the opportunity for future growth).

Floor plans are being finalized and grants have been and will continue to be applied for. We have been awarded a grant from Alliance Communication for $150,000 with a 2% APR and have the opportunity for a Rural Electric Economic Development (REED) low interest loan that would potentially finance up to 50% of our total costs.

You are receiving this letter, because we are asking for continued community support! CCCCC is a nonprofit (501 c3) daycare that is supported and operated by members within the Crooks community, that is supported by the director, and 8 volunteer board members. As you can imagine the cost of new building to hold 100 children will be considerable. Initial estimates for a new building is approximately $3.1 Million. We currently have raised $250,000, and have a lofty goal of $550,000.
