Cash Needs Cash: Senior Horse's Recovery Fund

Cash, Kelly’s beloved senior rescue horse, recently underwent cancer surgery and now requires hospitalization to recover. The daily costs are daunting, reaching at least $3,000 per day. As his dedicated caretaker and lifelong best friend, Kelly wants to ensure Cash receives the best care possible, but she needs our help.

Cash’s early years were rough. He was born on a breeding farm and left to starve at pasture. He was trained as a show jumper but was again cast aside when he lost a championship. When Kelly met Cash at a riding stable in South Carolina in 2002, it was love at first sight. She took extra jobs for a year until she could afford to buy him and move him to another stable and give him the love and care that he needed to live a happy life. Since then, Cash has been an affectionate companion to Kelly and her flock of rescued poultry in Loudoun County, VA. Cash’s soft and friendly nature has made him an ideal companion for many lonely animals including horses, dogs, and birds. Gentle Cash has also been the first horse that many children, including our own, have ever met, pet, or ridden. Cash has touched the hearts of many, and now it's our turn to help him in his time of need.

We've set up this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to cover Cash's hospitalization and any additional care costs for his recovery.
