Caring for Carlos, Aguedita, and Karla

The wonderful Morocho family needs our help. Carlos suffered a brain hemorrhage last Wednesday (March 1) and is in the ICU under heavy sedation. This is extremely serious and his prognosis is uncertain. Doctors have told the family they have to wait and see. Aguedita, his wife, is spending every minute she can with him at the hospital. She needs our support now to pay their mortgage and bills so she can focus on Carlos during this crisis.

As you all know, Carlos is incredibly hardworking, kind, and devoted to his family, especially his beloved only child, Karla. He has worked the night shift at a car manufacturer here in New Jersey for years. Aguedita works with children at a daycare and is as loving and devoted to Karla and their family as her husband. A few years ago, they bought a house in Newark. Now, with the loss of Carlos' income for the foreseeable future, their upcoming mortgage payments and household bills are adding significant stress to what is already an unbearably difficult time.

Beyond these living expenses, as-yet-unknown costs and medical bills lie ahead. We hope to ease the family’s burden and help Aguedita, Karla, and Carlos feel their place in our hearts. Their need is immediate. Please give as you can, and share this appeal as you see fit.

Cuidando a Carlos, Aguedita y Karla,

La maravillosa familia Morocho necesita nuestra ayuda. Carlos sufrió una hemorragia cerebral el pasado miércoles (1 de marzo) y permanece en la UCI bajo fuerte sedación. Esto es extremadamente grave y su pronóstico es incierto: los médicos le han dicho a la familia que tienen que esperar y ver. Aguedita, su esposa, pasa cada minuto que puede con él en el hospital. Ella necesita nuestro apoyo ahora para pagar su hipoteca y sus cuentas para poder concentrarse en Carlos durante esta crisis.

Como todos saben, Carlos es increíblemente trabajador, amable y dedicado a su familia, especialmente a su amada hija única, Karla. Él ha trabajado en el turno de noche en un fabricante de automóviles aquí en Nueva Jersey durante años. Aguedita trabaja con niños en una guardería y es tan amorosa y dedicada a Karla y su familia como su esposo. Hace unos años compraron una casa en Newark. Ahora, con la pérdida de los ingresos de Carlos en el futuro previsible, los próximos pagos de la hipoteca y las facturas del hogar están agregando un estrés significativo a lo que ya es un momento sumamente difícil.

Más allá de estos gastos de manutención, se avecinan costos y facturas médicas que aún se desconocen. Esperamos aliviar la carga de la familia y ayudar a Aguedita, Karla y Carlos a sentir su lugar en nuestros corazones. Su necesidad es inmediata.
